1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is Joseph’s Dream, Trancoso, Guarda, Portugal. Contact: [email protected].
- Company name: Walking Plateau, Lda
- NIPC: 516 016 946
- Registered address: Avenida Dom Nuno Álvares Pereira, 24 R/C, 6420-109 Trancoso, Portugal
2. What we collect
When you use the enquiry form:
- your name and email address;
- what you’re interested in;
- your message, and anything you choose to tell us in it;
- the date and time you sent it, and a record that you ticked the consent box.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever your email contains.
When you visit any page, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. We don’t use this data to identify you or to track you.
Please don’t send us sensitive information (for example about health or finances) through the form. We don’t need it to reply.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- To give you the information you’ve asked for about our services before any agreement, such as a budget or a visit, as a step taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure, based on our legitimate interest in protecting it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We don’t use your details for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. How AI helps in our office
Our office uses AI tools to sort, summarise and draft replies to the emails we receive, including enquiries from this form. A person on our team always reads and decides on every reply.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, the details we need move into your client records and are kept for as long as the law and our contract require.
6. Who helps us (processors)
We use a small number of trusted service providers, under contracts that oblige them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare: hosts this website, delivers the form to us and counts visits anonymously.
- Google (Google Workspace): our email and office tools, where your enquiry arrives.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under EU law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it’s wrong;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt, or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
9. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
